The Ayurveda Dietetics Program was founded in 2020 at TDU to educate health professionals on the Ayurvedic knowledge framework on foods and their effects on the body. This knowledge is presented in the context of modern nutrition, dietary pattern and nutrition research, so as to bridge the evidence gap between traditional knowledge and contemporary practice. This program also undertakes research and consultancy on diets that integrate evidence backed nutrient guidelines and Ayurvedic advise. Introduction to Ayurveda Dietetics

Offered by TDU, Bangalore, this university-certified foundational course is for health professionals to gain authentic information on Ayurveda in the context of current evidence in nutrition science. Held over 10 sessions (1.5hr each), participants will learn Ayurvedic food classification, principles of personalised diet planning, and how Ayurveda nutrition relates to modern dietetics. The 36th batch of this course runs from 19 Jan - 4 Feb 2026. Includes text and access to recorded lectures.
