Women !!


The new age woman is supposed to be smart, financially independent, good at multitasking and a good decision maker. However, despite all these, they tend to put themselves at the end of the list when it comes to their health. There have been many posts urging women to think about themselves. Nevertheless, reminding again:
1. Many women feel they can’t be selfish enough to put themselves before their family. Please don’t. Put yourself at the same level as the rest of the family. Eat fresh food on time just like they do.  
2. It has been mentioned many times before, DO NOT become the dustbins of the house. You need not finish up all the remaining food because it will get wasted. The gym fees and the doctor’s consultation with the medicines will be much more expensive. Do not be penny wise and pound foolish.
3. Deal with leftovers away from your body – either put it in the fridge or throw it in the dustbin. Do not feel obligated to eat food once you feel full. 
4. Do not keep ignoring small health problems. When they become big problems, your household will come to a standstill. Get an annual checkup done to bring out any irregularities. 
5. Please do not blame your weight gain on pregnancy and C-sections. Your body is capable of making a baby grow up to it’s full term and also come back to the original shape after delivery. By seeing a cow can you make out if it has given birth or not? Just like animals, humans have the ability to deal with any natural occurrence. 
6. As harsh as it sounds, women cannot afford to fall sick. Your family members will take care of you but other responsibilities like school and office commitments will take a toll on them. After all, we are the multi-taskers and nobody can do a mom’s job better!
7. Get fit, get in shape and take care of yourself. Exercise releases endorphins, which makes a person feel good. If you don’t take care of your health, don’t exercise and wear oversized clothes to hide the fat, you are bound to feel horrible.  Don’t think and worry, just get moving!
8. Get good quality sleep and atleast once a week catch up on the sleep lost during the week. This is especially applicable to working women. 
To get fit and healthy is not a pursuit for the perfect figure. The ramp models can worry about that. We should just strive for a body which will match our spirit and mind. The goal should be to get healthy – physically, mentally, emotionally and socially as long as we live. Cheers to that!
